Pence Visits East-Terra Plastics
CONNERSVILLE—U.S. Representative Greg Pence visited East-Terra Plastics Tuesday, where he toured the facility and learned more about the work it provides.
"East-Terra Plastics is on the leading edge of innovation when it comes to processing plastics," said Rep. Pence. "The facility, with its advanced recycling technology, is yet another shining example of the economic strength and vibrant workforce we have here in the 6th District."
The visit is part of a week long swing through the 6th District.
"East Terra Plastics is very excited to meet with Rep. Greg Pence to highlight our operation and our future plans for Connersville and the rest of the United States," said Lawrence Bowlin, business manager at East Terra. "We are very pleased Rep. Greg Pence is interested in the current state of plastic recycling; both in Indiana and nationally, and we fully believe our new technology and expertise will be showcased today for his visit."
Pence also recognized the company for prioritizing the hiring of U.S. military veterans and for recently joined the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Program, participating in job fairs at the grounds of the Indiana National Guard.
Rep. Pence represents Indiana's 6th Congressional District and serves on the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The Congressman and his wife Denise reside in Columbus, in the same house in which they raised their four children.
