Greg Pence Announces Additional Federal Funds for Rural Communities to Fight COVID-19
Washington, DC – U.S. Congressman Greg Pence (IN-06) today announced the state of Indiana will receive $3,907,452 from the Department of Health and Human Services. These funds will support increased COVID-19 testing at rural health clinics (RHCs) in Indiana's Sixth District and statewide. This funding comes from the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, which specifically directed these monies to be allocated to RHCs.
"These funds provide health clinics in rural communities the resources to bolster their fight against COVID-19 by boosting testing capabilities. This is a big step forward in safely reopening the Hoosier State," said Congressman Pence. "I express appreciation to the Trump Administration for prioritizing rural communities from the start, and providing critical resources to the Sixth District to help Hoosiers fight COVID-19."
