Congressman Pence Speaks in Opposition to Reckless Biden Spending Binge

"This radical Build Back Better bill will drive out private coverage options and leave Hoosiers with fewer life-saving cures."
Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Greg Pence joined the House Energy and Commerce full committee mark up where he spoke in opposition to the reckless Biden spending binge.
Congressman Pence's remarks as prepared for delivery are below and can be found here.
I share my colleague's frustration with the partisan reconciliation process the Majority has pursued to radically alter our economy, particularly in the health care sector.
The bipartisan bills we're marking up today should be proof enough that we can work together and find solutions to problems facing Hoosiers and all Americans.
Unfortunately, Democrats used a partisan reconciliation process and refused to consider any input from members on this side of the aisle.
All of us on this committee want to find ways to lower the cost of prescription drugs and expand access to affordable, high-quality health care.
But the top-down government control proposals in their tax and spend agenda will only do the opposite.
This radical Build Back Better bill will drive out private coverage options and leave Hoosiers with fewer life-saving cures.
We cannot abandon the free-market innovative approach that's been a key reason why the US is a world leader in biopharmaceutical modernization.
I urge my colleagues to reconsider their partisan approach and return to regular order so that we can work together for the American people.
